Dr. Serotoff was a former Managing Partner at Mid Suffolk Pediatrics for 25 years. Previously a Director at Cohen’s Children Physician Partners in Islandia, NY for 6 years. Dr. Marjorie Serotoff has been a Physician for 43 years. She joined RBK Pediatrics in June of 2023.

Where did you grow up? If you didn’t grow up in the Long Island area, what brought you to Long Island, NY?
I am originally from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn,NY. I have been on Long Island since the age of 9.
Why did you decide to become a pediatrician? What attracted you to pediatrics?
I had the honor of having an incredible teacher in my third year of medical school, Dr.Tejani. He discussed the importance of listening to families, and history of their medical concerns.
What do you enjoy most about working with children, parents and families?
It is wonderful to be able to develop relationships with these families, who entrust you with the care of their children, and watching the children and family grow.
Tell us about your family. Do you have children? What do you like to do as a family?
I have three grown children. They are adults with their own families. We meet up in the city and have gone to concerts, shows and operas, as we all love music.
What is a piece of life advice that you have for parents to give to their children (beyond what you learned in medical school)?
Understand your own child. Have some structure for the family. And enjoy them!
How do you maintain a healthy life style? What are some tips to share?
Fitness, gardening, walking, And humor. Good for the immune system.
What are your favorite past times/hobbies?
Gardening, music, and watching old Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Groucho Marx movies.
