RBK Pediatrics international Adoption program offers medical consultation services to individuals and families involved in domestic and international adoption.
Our International Adoption Evaluation program was founded by George Rogu M.D. Dr. Rogu is also the medical director and founder of Adoption Doctors. We provide comprehensive post-adoption medical evaluations in a private practice setting.
The children in our adoption program can range from less than a year old to 11 and come from primarily Russia, Eastern Europe, China, Central America, and South America. Our international adoption program physicians understand the unique medical conditions of children from other countries. We are also equipped to help a child navigate the developmental and psychological impact of being internationally adopted.
Our physicians are members of the American Academy of Pediatrics section on Adoption and Foster Care.
Services Provided to Adoptive Parents
- Evaluating referral videotapes, photographs, and medical history of potential adoptee.
- Preparing adoptive parents for their trip abroad to adopt their child, including providing information on immunizations and disease prevention.
- Medical and emotional support for families during their stay abroad, with online instant messaging, email, and telephone access.
