Dr. Delia Rogu is a compassionate and highly skilled board-certified Pediatrician with over two decades of specialized experience in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care. Known for her unwavering dedication to providing top-quality care, Dr. Rogu has focused her career on addressing the acute care needs of children and adolescents, treating medical emergencies and trauma in high-pressure environments with precision, calm, and empathy. Many families in the community have come to know her through her work in the Emergency Room at Good Samaritan Hospital, where her ability to swiftly and accurately diagnose complex conditions has saved countless lives.


As a Pediatric Attending Physician, Dr. Rogu excels in managing a wide range of emergency cases, from acute injuries to life-threatening illnesses. She maintains a constant state of readiness for all incoming patients, allowing her to perform rapid assessments, develop detailed treatment plans, and ensure efficient patient flow during chaotic situations. Her expertise extends beyond immediate care, as she thoroughly analyzes patient histories, diagnostic results, and imaging to create comprehensive, effective treatment plans that address the root cause of her patients' conditions. 


Dr. Rogu is also known for her exceptional communication skills, building strong relationships with patients, their families, and her multidisciplinary team. She believes in educating families on their child's condition, explaining complex medical issues in a clear and compassionate way, and ensuring they understand treatment options and preventive health measures. Serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, she has mentored medical students, residents, and physician assistants for years, guiding them through patient care and helping them develop the skills needed to thrive in high-stakes medical environments. Her teaching style is interactive, emphasizing hands-on learning, critical thinking, and effective communication—skills that are essential in emergency medicine.


Dr. Rogu’s commitment to advancing pediatric care goes hand-in-hand with her dedication to fostering the next generation of medical professionals. She provides continuous feedback and mentorship, helping new doctors and medical trainees hone their diagnostic abilities, procedural techniques, and bedside manner. Her extensive training includes a Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship and a Pediatric Residency, where she honed her comprehensive care skills. Over the years, Dr. Rogu has maintained certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), ensuring that she is always prepared to deliver life-saving care in critical situations.


As a member of professional organizations such as the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Suffolk Pediatric Society, Dr. Rogu remains committed to staying at the forefront of pediatric medical advancements. She continually updates her knowledge of evolving treatment protocols, patient safety practices, and quality assurance standards to provide her patients with the most current, evidence-based care.


Outside of her professional life, Dr. Rogu is married to Dr. George Rogu, MD, and together they are a well-known medical family within their community.
